Vakıf Faktoring A.Ş. was established on January 28, 1998, to conduct factoring and all types of financing transactions. Factoring, the company's area of ​​activity, is a financing method involving the transfer of trade receivables of manufacturers, distributors, and service companies to an intermediary institution (factor). In this method, the "factor" provides financing, monitors customer accounts, collects receivables, and assumes the risk of non-collection in exchange for a commission.

The company provides domestic and international factoring services and conducts its operations primarily within the framework of Law No. 6361 on Financial Leasing, Factoring, Financing, and Savings Financing Companies and the Regulation on the Establishment and Operating Principles of Financial Leasing, Factoring, and Financing Companies, and under the supervision and control of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA/the Agency). Vakıf Faktoring is also a full member of FCI (Factors Chain International) and the Association of Financial Institutions.

The company's operating license for the period prior to 2008 was granted by the Undersecretariat of Treasury with letter number 8167 dated February 26, 1998, while its operating license for the period after 2008 was granted by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA/the Agency) with decision number 2457 dated January 31, 2008.

At the Ordinary General Meeting held on March 31, 2015, the company's name was changed from Vakıf Finans Factoring Hizmetleri A.Ş. to Vakıf Faktoring A.Ş., and this change was registered with the Turkish trade registry on April 13, 2015.
